The Sync System consists of a Mahlkönig E80W Grind-by-Sync paired with a La Marzocco machine* which are seamlessly synchronized using the Mahlkönig Sync and LM mobile app. The system allows wireless communication between the grinder and the espresso machine and ensures that every espresso shot is of unparalleled quality, reproducible in all outlets, and by anyone operating the machine. No more manual adjustments – just great quality shots every time.

Through wireless synchronization via the Mahlkönig Sync and La Marzocco apps, the espresso machine and grinder exchange data, adjusting the grind size automatically. If the shot runs too fast, indicating a coarse grind, the app signals the grinder to refine the grind adjustment. Contrarily, if the shot is too slow, indicating a fine grind, the grinder adjusts for a coarser grinding. This real-time communication ensures consistency in taste and quality, creating the perfect cup, no matter the location.

The E80W Grind-by-Sync is a significant evolution of the E80 Grind-by-Weight showcasing remarkable new features. Now equipped with cloud connectivity, it also offers an electrical adjustment of disc distance. This adjustment still can be precisely controlled by the barista manually or, when synchronized with a machine, it automatically aligns with the target extraction time. Furthermore, the E80W Grind-by-Sync incorporates an intelligent algorithm, enhancing its ability to manage disc distance with precision, ensuring perfect extraction every time.
Our vision for Grind-by-Sync extends beyond being a Mahlkönig and La Marzocco digital partnership.
