Mahlkönig: Brand of the Century

Legendary German publisher "DIE ZEIT" recently produced the 20th-anniversary edition of its classic illustrated book "Brands of the Century". 200 top brands are selected and printed on the pages of a commemorative hardback book. This year Mahlkönig has been awarded in by an independent selection process as the outstanding brand in the genre "coffee grinder".
We are honoured by this special recognition and thank the team surrounding editor Dr Florian Langenscheidt for the impressive editorial realization.
As the Hemro Group, we are not only proud of this special recognition, but also of our almost 100-year history and the worldwide brand success of Mahlkönig. Mahlkönig was officially registered as a word and figurative trademark in Hamburg on December 13th 1924.

Since that time, we have been manufacturing coffee grinders for all areas of application and always with the very highest standards in quality. For example, every professional grinder is subjected to a grinding test and a systematic particle size analysis before it leaves the factory.

All burrs are developed by our team and have been manufactured at our Hamburg site for decades. We are also the only manufacturer to offer grinding discs made of particularly resistant cast steel, which enable exceptional extraction of the valuable coffee flavours.

Mahlkönig thus earns the trust of the most demanding coffee enthusiasts worldwide and contributes to first-class coffee experience, not least with product classics such as the EK43.
